We have the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church containing the fullness of God’s truth. Why would we want anything less?
Mainly discovering, through the wonderful work of some pretty incredible priests, that nearly everything that attracted me to evangelism is actually also Catholic (for you pompous out there, I “suffered from poor catechesis”).
I can also tell you what pushes me away form Catholicism: needlessly complicated language, holier than thou attitudes, snobbery against anyone who doesn’t attend the Latin Mass, etc…
We need to recognize that we are broken people, original sin broke us. Jesus saved us, but He didn’t remove the brokenness. Therefore, everything we do, every institution we construct, is also broken. When we stop recognizing that and start acting like we are perfect and the church is perfect, we drive people away.
The Eucharist.
What keeps me Catholic? Many will convert you to their sect or at least any Protestant sect, it’s shocking to see them showing that Catholicism is unbiblical or opposite to the Bible or the church is involved in a conspiracy, these are some of their strength, makes you want to believe right away.
But there are people who seems unmoved by these. What’s your reason for remaining a Catholic Christian despite all of these?
Where would I go? The Catholic Church is THE CHURCH started by Jesus Himself, while he was still with us; She alone has the fullness of truth. Many will convert you to their sect or at least any Protestant sect, it’s shocking to see them showing that Catholicism is unbiblical or opposite to the Bible or the church is involved in a conspiracy, these are some of their strength, makes you want to believe right away.

Because God loves me to much to change his definition of love to suit me!But there are people who seems unmoved by these. What’s your reason for remaining a Catholic Christian despite all of these?
Because I converted to Catholicism, in part, by hearing the best Protestant objections raised by some of the best Protestant objectors often in formal debate settings. James White was one of my heroes for something like 6 - 18 months. I promise you, there’s no one who can argue better than he for the historical, Reformed perspective, and I think Calvinism is by far the most intellectually robust of all forms of the Protestant objections to the Catholic religion. What’s your reason for remaining a Catholic Christian despite all of these?
You are absolutely correct! To me, Catholicism is such a beautiful and rich faith. I couldn’t imagine going back to a Protestant religion. So dull! Also they don’t have the very best thing of all…The Most Holy Eucharist! It would break my heart to not receive God every Sunday!Their arguments can be countered by Scripture and history. If Protestantism is true then the early Church had it all wrong, which makes no sense. Studying Scripture and history helps to see the Protestant claims as incorrect. In my own life what keeps me Catholic is also the Holy Eucharist. If Jesus is physically present in our churches I don’t want to go somewhere else. Protestantism just seems bare to me - no Eucharist, Confession, Mary, Saints, blessed things, devotions, even no images. I say this as an ex-Protestant. I learned to begin to pray there and my faith in God grew, but God used that to draw me to the Church, though at first I really didn’t want to gothe reason I became Protestant at first is because I believed what the people there told me, but as I learned more I saw there were problems though I didn’t want to at first acknowledge them.
Loved your testimony! So glad you came home to the One True Church that Jesus Himself instituted. <3Having made that grave mistake once I assure you it will not happen again. (My Testimony)
The knowledge that the majority on n-C belief that even oppose Catholicism are not based upon any sort of proper interpretation of the scriptures and in fact contradict them even as they cherry pick them out of context in order to twist their interpretations to suit their own man made beliefs. When you couple that with the fact that Christian history shows that their modern new winds of doctrines of men contradict these as well you see an untenable faith system that is deceptive even when put forth by the most well intentioned people with Bibles in hand.
I love my Catholic faith and see no way back to my days in error.
I also believe this wise quote.
“If you’re going to do a thing, you should do it thoroughly. If you’re going to be a Christian, you may as well be a Catholic.” Muriel Spark
You believe that Judaism was man-made? The people of the Covenant? The religion of Jesus? All of the other sects and religions are man-made.
