My wife and I both have dogs since before we were married. A golden retriever and a siberian husky. We like the larger breed dogs in general…

My daughter loves animals- she takes care of a tank of goldfish, and a hamster. Then we also have a siamese-mix cat (Nellie Belle) and our papillon dog (Bobo).

With a screen name like PuppyLove, what do you think?

My big puppy is half yellow lab and half chow and my little puppy is a mix breed with a touch of french poddle family. I say puppy, but they are 5 and 3 years old. I love my puppies!

Actually we have two dogs, 2 fish, and 2 parakeets.

Puppy:D

Living with me, I have one cat, Sephora, we call her Sophie for short. My fiance kinda stole her from these people who were abusing her. They got sick of her and threw her in the barn in the middle of winter at -40 celsius, I don’t know what it woudl be in farenheit. When she went to the door, they’d kick her in the stomach. At first she wasn’t very friendly and now she’s the most cuddly cat ever, once we gave her a little love. We think she’s about 2 years old now.

Besides her, I have 2 dogs, both Labs, one black, 9, and one yellow, 7. Gertie and Nala are their names. Gertie is the best dog ever, we’ve had her sinceshe was 5 weeks old when the mother rejected her, she was a runt. Now she’s dying of bone cancer and is completely blind. But she still acts like a puppy!! Nala was my older sisters dog, but she couldn’t take care of her after her husband died. And I have a fish, marley, that’s about 5 years old.

3 tibetan spaniels: Pepper, Quentin, & Tazz, 2 British housecats: Cosmo & Baily, 1 goldfish: Hank, and one hamster named Pashmina.

We had 2 fish, then one died. Then we got a kitten and the other fish died shortly after that.

what no bunnies? 🙂 I have one holland lop rabbit who is 6 years old and a hamster that actually belongs to my oldest daughter … that’s all I need right now!

well i don’t consider Emily a dog…but…if you must classify than yes Emily Tyme is a toy poodle, who i love o so dearly, that sometimes i do forget that she is a dog…and so does she…

4 cats - all rescued - Kitty, Penance (found him during Lent at our parish), Mario & Luigi (named by our kids).

I also have chickens, which I’m very fond of, but I don’t know if I’d call them pets. However, most do have names - keeps them out of the pot!

My wife and I are the proud parents of a 100 pound bloodhound named Virgil.

We have two children followed by

Three Border Collies

fifty fish in three tanks

1 rat

God Bless

We have a dog named Fred (named after Mr. Rogers). He is 1/2 Yorkshire Terrier, 1/4 Chihuahua, and 1/4 Shih Tzu but everyone says he looks like a Pomeranian. In fact there is a Pomeranian in our neighborhood who gets out of his yard sometimes and when we see him we have to do a double-take, thinking that it’s Fred! 😃

Here’s his picture:

I have two long haired cats, Honey and Elmo. That’s kind of a funny story. My now ex-Husband was in a 7-11 parking lot. While he was getting back in the car this cat came out of nowhere and jumped in. He drove home and she jumped out and folllowed him into our house. I left early as usual and he called me, said “notice anything different this morning?” He told me the story, we looked for lost cat signs in the area, and ended up keeping her. Six weeks later I hear this mewling noise in a back closet and I find one tiny newborn kitten. Their fur is a reddish orange color which explains their name (Elmo -red furred monster on Sesame Street). I also adopted my Moms blue fronted amazon parrot she named Oliver. He is 19 and likely to live to 60.

two cats, brothers of unknown lineage, one black and white (Tom) and one white and black (Jerry). :whacky: :whacky:
My lovely grey Burmese mix, MagnifiCAT, passed on a couple of years ago.:crying:

Bunnies were on my original list, but the poll only allows 7 entries and I figured I better use other for the last entry.

I’ve thought about rescuing a bunny, but my siberian is very dominant and prey driven. His idea of fun is running up to a horse to bite them on the nose. Well, that and chasing down cats. If allowed, he’d probably be a cat killer.

Quick story. My friends took care of our dogs while my wife and I went on vacation. They had taken care of other dogs and their cat had always had the attitude that had kept the dogs in their place. So, thinking that their kitty would do the same, they tried introducing them. (they didn’t tell us about this, BTW). The wife held the cat in her arms, the husband held onto Loki (my siberian). Loki surprised them because he calmly walked up to the cat and raised his head to it. My friends thought it was to sniff the cat, but not my dog. As he raised his head he calmly and deliberately opened his mouth to take the cat from the wife’s arms. My friends described Loki’s attitude as “I see you have a problem there, here, I’ll just take care of that for you”. I was relieved that the cat wasn’t hurt, but it was funny to hear them tell the story. Apparently, they expected Loki to lunge for the cat or accept him…
