What kind of rose does St. Therese send?

Is there anything in the novena to St. Therese that states that only an actual rose may be sent as “confirmation” of prayers being answered or are other forms of roses acceptable (i.e. pictures, other flowers, etc)?
 
Hi,

I’ve only heard of actual roses. But I do know a case where the room filled with the very strong fragance of roses, though no flowers were in the house.
