Let’s say in New York. Will it be the same language as the people around the area? Or will it be the language of the rite? (like Greek, Russian and so on)
Most of it should be in English. Some priests will use the language of the individual church if the priest knows the language and a majority of the parish speaks that language as a primary language. Generally, the priest will use whichever language will reach the most people.
Usually it will be in the vernacular language, in this case English.
Also, often they won’t call it a mass, though in my English translation of War and Peace the Russian Orthodox Divine Liturgy is consistently called a mass.
