Well the next time there would be a TLM where I am, it would be a Missa Cantata in December when a FSSP Priest flies over from Australia. I know of only 1 Diocesean Priest who has the proper Ecclesia Dei documentation, but even then Bishop has not given the go ahead.Pax tecum!
I was lucky enough to attend a TLM High Mass for the Solemnity of the Assumption this year celebrated by Bishop Basil Meeking (Cardinal George’s assisnant) and sung by a world-class Gregorian chant and polyphony choir.
In Christ,
Rand
Not to nitpick, but The Most Rev Basil Meeking is Bishop Emeritus of Christchurch, New Zealand.…celebrated by Bishop Basil Meeking (Cardinal George’s assistant)
Bishop Meeking moved to Portland, Oregon, following his retirement from Christchurch and worked with Cardinal George while George was Archbishop there. Meeking moved with him to Chicago, and is one of the holiest and gentlest men I have ever met.Not to nitpick, but The Most Rev Basil Meeking is Bishop Emeritus of Christchurch, New Zealand.

That is why, no matter what anybody says I am staying in communion with the Pope. It is Christ that put him in authority and it is shown in the Church today, which is the ONLY Christian Church of unity.Amen! Unity of faith amidst liturgical diversity is truly a testament to the Trinitarian mystery of “unity in diversity” and a sign of the catholicity of the Church. Similarly, the mutual rediscovery and reclamation of our respective liturgical heritages must be a Catholic process; an effort by all Churches in communion with Rome to live the timeless axiom, Lex orandi, lex credendi.
God bless,
Chris
I’ve never been to a Pauline Rite one, so I would have to say the Anglican Use one as my first, and the Maronite liturgy coming in very close.Me too. And I love the Anglican Use, as my second favorite.
