You’re kidding me! What are you basing your blind assumption that this was written by GOD, then? Did you see God write down the words himself?? NO… without any reasoning involved, you believe it because your parents/pastor/friends/whoever else TOLD you that it was written down by God, and then you accepted it on sheer blind faith.

What’s to keep other religions from doing the same thing?

History books are not accurate. They were written by man. The Word of God says let God be true and every man a liar. If you want to trust in history books then you do so at your own risk. The only truth is the Word of God. You guys seem to trust and quote more ECFs like it’s the Gospel.

Circular reasoning again. See above. When all is said and done, MAN ended up putting ink to paper somehow, both in the case of history books, and that Bible at home that you think you worship. You didn’t conclude through reasoning that the Bible was the word of God, you blindly assume that it is.

The RCC does not call sinners to repentance. The RCC calls people to confession and penance. That’s not the same thing as turning away from your sins altogether. The message of repentance is so watered down in the RCC that it seems be non-existent.

Faith in Jesus IS NOT a religious institution. Your religious institution didn’t give us the Word of God. God did. God may have used the RCC to help preserve the Word for a time with all her power and might. But that’s all. Your denomination was branded by Constantine and forced onto the real believers thru the ages. Faith in Jesus only believers have always existed. My credibility is not a stake. I’m not forcing you to believe me. Jesus said that I would know who the true disciples were by their love. Jesus didn’t say I would know them if they joined the Roman Catholic Church… or if they are on the Tiber Swim Team… of they “went home to Rome”… but by love for one another.

First of all, there are no other organizations I know of even applying for the job. If Scripture is correct (which we both presume to be fact) then all Truth will be found in “the Church”.
I have yet to find any other faith tradition who claims to have secured, without any possibility of error, the totality of Truth revealed to us by God.

What exactly does it mean to “rightly divide” the Word of God ? I always thought that God is One…perfect unity (YHWH = “I Am”) How do you divide God ? Furthermore, what Scriptural support do you have that we should “rightly divide the Word of God” or that your division of the Word of God is correct ?

What you’re not understanding is that the “church” does not refer to the RCC but the body of believers. You keep going on and on about how you think every time “church” is mentioned it refers to the RCC. “church” refers to the body of believers. Believers means those who have faith in Jesus only.
