There are tons of recorded Marian apparitions but only a small number have been authenticated by the Church. I know that Fatima, Lourdes, and Guadalupe are some of the more popular ones.

The question is: Do you really believe in ANY of them? Which one do you think is the most authentic?

I used to really believe in Fatima, but now I’m not so sure. I still believe in Lourdes and I have come to appreciate the historical importance of Our Lady of Walsingham, but my faith in them is a lot weaker than it used to be.

I trust the Church when it comes to approved apparitions, worthy of belief, even though I don’t have any kind of devotion to them. There is one unapproved apparition I am keeping an eye on though for personal reasons. Tim

Until the Vatican has approved it, in my mind it has not happened. The Vatican has approved Fatima, Lourdes and Guadalupe that I know of, there are probably others, and I accept them. I have a personal devotion, love and recognition of Mary as she appeared to Juan Diego, but not a special attachment or devotion to any other apparition. If the Church declared definitively tomorrow that this or that appartition did not happen, it would not shake my faith in the Gospel, Jesus or His Church one iota. I don’t believe “in” appartitons. I believe “in” Jesus Christ, in all he said, did, preached and promised as handed on by the Catholic Church. I believe what the Church declares to be true revelation from God, preserved and handed on through Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture. I acknowledge that private revelations have had spiritual benefit for thousands, but my faith does not depend on them.

I’ve been to Lourdes, and after my experiences there I definitely believe in Lourdes. As for any other Marian apparitions I have not really done any reading or studying about them so I trust that The Church has done her homework & what The Church says is true is true.

I think Lourdes - because of what’s happened there since - and Fatima - mainly because of what happened there DURING the apparitions (especially the Miracle of the Sun) - are the most convincing, but I also don’t have a particular devotion to either.

I believe in all of the apparitions that the Church has approved!🙂

Church approval affirms things for me also!👍

I have had devotion to Our Lady of Fatima since childhood.

I believe in every approved apparition and in no others. (False apparitions are a huge problem in the present times!)

What, I must ask, would have caused you to doubt Fatima? Fatima is probably the single most authenticated apparition, with the most raw evidence behind it, of them all. There is simply absolutely nothing doubtful about anything concerning Fatima.

(Well - Lourdes is close, with it’s 63 documented very miraculous healings. I have been to Lourdes and hope to visit Fatima some day.)
