What month was Christ actually born?

A while back when I was curious about what would have happened with Mary, I went to a pregnancy web site, and I plugged in that I was pregnant from my very first time having sex, on March 25th, and the due date for the pregnancy was given as December 25th. (If it had been a second pregnancy, or a pregnancy after a great deal of “trying” it would have been a week earlier.)

I can’t remember which site it was, but I’m pretty sure it was something affiliated with BirthRight.

Interesting, since I’d never heard the “lambing season” theory.
I used to be interested in the prophecies of Blessed Anna Catherine Emmerich, though. And I believe, though not sure on this recollection, that she said Our Lord was born in November (which would make the Annunciation in February instead of March.

I’d think alot depends on the historical tax record collecting that Caesar had called for. Connect that to Herod’s horrendous order carried out to kill newborn males (fearing the prophecy that a King was to be born)…something must connect the dots. But I can’t help but think - history aside - that there’s something - some missing link or very obvious piece of info/data that is a clear key to our knowing when Our Lord was born. Is it that important? It’s only important to know He came! But it is sad we can’t get the exact date of Our Lord’s birth. It’s just natural curiosity.

We do know it wasn’t December since we’re told that December 25th was a pagan holiday/winter solstice?. It became known as the date of Our Savior’s Birth - because the early Christians used that date as a cover - to prevent persecution - to my knowledge.

I have also read about the “lambing” in the spring. And that Dec 25 was chosen because the Romans celebrate the feast of Bacchus and the Harvesting god (whoever that is)…it rolls right into the “winter soltice” and segways into the celebration of “Janus” the god who looks backwards and forwards. I can understand why the birth of Christ was placed there…because the Romans have been celebrating one drunken feast (etc) after the other since Sept 21st. Certainly placing Christ’s birth in the middle of this would either disrupt the partygoers and maybe evangelize a few in the process. It worked…because here we are!

Now…another idea…I hope you all are ready…

Based on the “lambing” theory…Christ was born on the cusp of Pisces and Aires…which is about March 20 or 21st. If you look at the symbol of Pisces…you will see fish. Actually two fish tethered together swimming in opposite directions. (good and evil tied together) If you read the attributes of a Pisces…one could assume that Christ possessed these qualities. If you look at the attributes of an Aires…(they get mad…real quick and go off…I’m thinking of the day at the Temple)…and when He told Peter that before the rooster crows you will deny me three times…

I have also read (as some of you may have) that each one of the 12 Apostles was born under a different sign. Judas Iscariot a Pisces…which explains the tethering…

As for His death on the cross…the birth and death at the same time would place his death in the second half of March. We have had a number of Good Friday’s in March.

In the same idea…Aires is sign of the Head and Pisces is the sign of the feet.

I read in a non catholic blog somewhere ,that the temple sheep stayed out all night all ,year long

I tried finding some sort of date for the census but they only come up with a year, and no month

Ok, first part, sure, second list…no… 😉

Now, let’s look at Capricorn, Dec 22-Jan 19:
Prudent- yep
cautious- ok, sometimes
patient, methodical- yes
practical- very much so. Miracles were physical healings mostly
reserved- time away from people
ambitious- not for Himself, but certainly a zeal for souls
authoritative- boy howdy!
competent- I’d sure say so…
Can be saturnine, suspicious, rigid, cunning, over-cautious, pessimistic…Well, He did know that someone would betray him…and He foretold His death several times 🤷
