Fireproof. I saw that in theaters and I think everyone in the room was in tears.

The first time I saw Batman Begins, during the Batmobile chase scene, I was almost crying from the pure awesomeness that I was watching.

The “Valse Triste” segment from Allegro non Troppo gets me every time. Sheer sentimentality, but it works on me.

I’m not one for crying in movies, but Fiddler on the Roof gets me every time. You know Topol (Tevye) was only 35 at the time the movie was made??? Great acting job :clapping:

And just that scene in *The Patriot *with Mel Gibson - the little girl hasn’t talked at all since her mother’s death and Mel’s character (her father) keeps trying to get her to talk. Then he is about to go off to war and she finally starts crying and says 'I’ll say anything you want, just don’t go!" Makes me :bighanky: just thinking about it.
He’s even better on Stage, I was so lucky to see him play Tevye a few years back in what was perhaps his last tour of Australia. The movie made me cry too, but it was nothing like seeing it in person, he’s still got the moves for “If I were a rich man”.

The Patriot is also one of my fav’s too, but I cry mostly when the brutal British commander orders the homegrown guy to burn the church saying “that’s between you and God”, that whole 5 minutes from that scene to when Heath Ledger dies in Mel’s arms has me in tears every time. Much more than that scene with Dakota Fanning(who played the young girl). There was also a deleted scene(in the extended version) that was oddly very similar to a scene from “War of The Worlds”, the part where she sees the bodies floating down river and her father covers her eyes… that also had me a bit teary too(both times in both Dakota Fanning starring films), I wonder if Spielberg was inspired by it? It was clearly too emotionally powerful to include in the final cut of the movie.

I’ll admit it, Titanic’s ending got me the first time I watched it. Forrest Gump had me in tears also, in the scene where he’s standing at Jenny’s gravesite talking to her.

Just yesterday I cried while watching Brother Sun, Sister Moon. Jesus of Nazareth, Passion of the Christ, and the Gospel of John, all make me cry. Schindler’s list makes me cry. Shadowlands, Titanic.

Most of the movies mentioned (at least the ones I’ve seen) have made me cry at one time or another. My baby sister and I are the real “weepers” in the family. Sometimes TV commercials get me! But here are a few I did not see listed:
Beaches - my friend and I thought it was going to be a Bette Midler comedy!
All Mine to Give - a “Christmas” movie from the 40’s/50’s
Brian’s Song - the original made for TV
The Hiding Place
The Land Before Time - when the Mama dino dies!
The Incredible Journey - the original (when all but the old dog return)
I’ve learned to go to the movies with a pocket full of kleenex!

Life is Beautiful gets me sobbing. The last scene in Field of Dreams, the last scene of Glory, and the end of Remember the Titans. I’m sure there are more, but those are the ones that grab me right now.

E.T.! It doesn’t matter how many times I see it. I think it takes me back to being a seven year old. I just watched it with my seven year old & it was the first time he cried watching a movie. Just saw “Up” and both my husband & I were crying too.😊

Last night we watched “Taking Chance” with Kevin Bacon. The clerk at Hastings warned me there wouldn’t be a dry eye in the house. She was right.

I don’t often cry in movies (in fact, never), but one movie that almost made me cry was “Eight Below.” It was produced by Disney, where an explorer/scientist had to leave his 8 Huskies in the South Pole and tried to rescue them later.

I loved that movie, too (didn’t make me cry, though), and I was quite disappointed with several people who said it would have been better if all the dogs survived. Granted, these people had young children and they probably felt it was too sad for little ones to see a couple of the dogs die, but they probably didn’t like “Finding Nemo” or “Bambi” either for the same reason.

Doesn’t surprise me - a) he’s always pretty much been a stage actor and b) he’s now got near 40 extra years of life (and many more performances as Tevye) under his belt.

He said he once did Fiddler with his real-life youngest daughter playing Chavele - and that having to yell at her and ‘disown’ her was really tough!

Braveheart, when they bury William Wallaces father and the pipers play. also “Saving Private Ryan” the scene when Ryan returns to the gravesite of Tom Hanks character as an old man and asks his family if he has been a good man, that scene kills me!

Same here. Any movie that involves a man sacrificing himself to save others, especially his family, is enough to make me seriously tear up. That is why even though I didn’t particularly care much for Armegeddon or Independence Day as a whole, the scenes of a man going to his death in order that others may live makes me reach for the tissues each and every time. In real life, I would do the same thing.

All the movies that have been mentioned already. And I’ll add these ones Frequency, Wide Awake (not too many people have seen that and I highly recomend it, go check it out from any place you get vids:thumbsup:) The Champ (both versions), Ghost, The Sixth Sense, It’s a wonderful life, Going my way, its the ending of those movies that always get me crying, but nothing makes me cry more than documentaries.

Children of Men and I am David have made me cry. Good stuff…

I guess my mom cried during the Notebook…

omg tons of movies make me cry.

Let’s see if I can list a lot of them: 😃

various scenes in some of the Harry Potter films can make me cry
Lord of the Rings - all 3 can make me cry
The Chronicles of Narnia - both make me cry
Dead Poets Society
Bella
Jane Eyre
Finding Neverland
Nanny McPhee (the end always tears me up, because of the mother)
Bridge to Terebithia (the new one made me cry my eyes out…)
The Waterhorse
The Phantom of the Opera
West Side Story
Romeo and Juliet (1968)
Fiddler on the Roof
Brother Sun, Sister Moon (for some reason that old movie makes me cry…)
Gaudalupe
Cyrano de Bergerac (I think it’s the 1990 version)
Dragonheart
Miss Potter
Jane Eyre (2006 version)
The Robe

…I think that’s a good enough list, haha. 😛

(oh, it’s not a movie, but the finale for Season 2 of BBC’s Robin Hood made me CRY omg. 😦 argh.)
Yes, MaidoftheWood!🙂 I like many BBC old movies as well, but I cannot remember which movie which scene made me cry, that’s so many! remember even now some fun movies made me cry too, like: a night in museum :blush:even from I was little I cry lots in movie. It is -my father was always say that when I was little he never can watch a movie from beginning to end, he always had to leave theater in middle or even movie just begin because he said that I cried so loud and keep asking him Why? after he explain it to me, what has happened…and I still keep ask him why it has happened? and then I start crying louder:D
