What needs to be confessed before bedtime? If I kneel in prayer before bedtime to confess sins of the day, do I need to get out of bed to confess sins that I may have forgotten the first time?
I think you’re worrying about it too much. A daily examination of conscience is not like the Sacrament of Confession, where you want to be as accurate as possible. Confess what you remember from your day, but if you happen to remember something after you get into bed there’s no rule that says you must get back down on your knees. Heck, I’d probably apologize to God from under the covers!
Salutations
As one gets older, knees may not bend. Prayers in bed are heard. Do the best you can. Anything recalled, after under covers, He hears. God does have a stern side and still judges but if our hearts are loving and repentant, we are forgiven w His mercy.

I have a case of OCD and it’s hard for me to discern what I need to do. I
feel like I either need to write sins down or get out of bed, kneel down
and confess them right there. But it gets exhausting. Thank you for your
thoughts. I really appreciate it!
I’ve done examinations of conscious while in bed before. In fact for years all my formal evening praying was in bed. There are lines in the Psalms about meditating on God in bed, so I took that as a sign God will accept my prayer even there.
