Someting tells me it is over 20% since Planned Parenthood seems to target minority neighborhoods.😦

PF

Yet blacks have traditionally been more opposed to abortion than have whites.

CDL

I would suspect over 20%, but I took a conservative guess at 16-20%.

It would not surprise me that it wold be well over 20% though.

I think that it is over 20%. Where are you getting the statistics from?

A year ago last Spring Cardinal Frances George in Chicago celebrated Mass on Mother’s Day at a parish that is in an African American neighborhood. He did this because of the horrible stats of the number of African American women that abort their babies. There were people on Catholic radio that week broadcasting about the issue. It was really the first time I had heard that there was a bigger problem with abortion for this segment of the population. It is a tragedy for sure and we all need to pray about it.

ANSWER:

36%

According to the U.S. Census bureau, there were 36 million blacks in the United States in 2002. If 13 million black children had not been killed by abortion, the black community would now number 49 million – it would be 36 percent larger. Abortion has killed over one-third of the black community in the last 32 years.

I heard it somewhere that the founder of Planned Parenthood advocated eugenic when she launched this group. She’s no better than Hitler-killing a group of people through legal mean.

Where are people like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton on all of this? You know, they could do a lot with that extra 36% of the black population. The black birth has been stagnat for decades. The blacks are getting taken for a ride by the liberal/secular democratic.

I said 0%

The person has to have a birth certificate to have been counted as part of the population.

Technicality, but I love messing with statistics problems.

Rev. Jesse Jackson, Rev. Al Sharpton, Louis Farrakan & Charlie Rangel while calling themselves “Black Leaders” have NEVER come out to denounce 36% of their black brothers & sisters have been killed by abortion.

The only prominent Black Leaders I have heard to CONTINUOUSLY come out and SPEAK AGAINST 36% of its black brothers and sisters have been killed by abortion are…

Dr. Alan Keyes renewamerica.us/

Jesse Lee Peterson bondinfo.org

Dr. Alveda King (niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.)

Here is an article/interview with Dr. Alveda King speaking about the correlation between Slavery & Abortion & her thoughts on Rev. Jesse Jackson…

The Emmett Till story in relation to Civil Rights is similar to Abortion’s relationship to Respecting Life in the Womb. To further explain the ties, please read this article…

Attached are pictures of Emmett Till placed in Jett Magazine.

You might find this interesting:

eadshome.com/MargaretSanger.htm

Here are a few:

“We should hire three or four colored ministers, preferably with social-service backgrounds, and with engaging personalities. The most successful educational approach to the Negro is through a religious appeal. We don’t want the word to go out that we want to exterminate the Negro population. and the minister is the man who can straighten out that idea if it ever occurs to any of their more rebellious members.”

“Eugenics is … the most adequate and thorough avenue to the solution of racial, political and social problems.”

“The campaign for birth control is not merely of eugenic value, but is practically identical with the final aims of eugenics.”

“Give dysgenic groups [people with ‘bad genes’] in our population their choice of segregation or [compulsory] sterilization.”

I have a feeling that Jill Stanek, the author of the article that is the source for this thread, was not a math major.

First off, kudos to mjdonnelly, who is exactly correct - zero is the answer. They never had a chance to become a part of the population. A similar question would be “How many Catholic Answers Forum members have been killed by abortion?”

Secondly, not all of the aborted kiddies would still be alive today. Some would have died in childbirth, neglect, childhood disease, violent crime, accidents, cancer, etc.

Third, even if we accept the creaky premise that the black population should measure 49 million, then 13 million out of 49 million is only 27% killed; less than the one third claimed.

I’ve also heard that abortion killed 1/3 of my generation (genX). Interesting to think about when I find myself arguing with a pro-legalized-abortion baby boomer - the boomer is like a nazi telling a jew the holocaust was not wrong.

That’s just a matter of deciding when to count the population. 100 years ago, many infants may not have been included in the population because of early deaths and limited census taking abilities.
A similar question would be “How many Catholic Answers Forum members have been killed by abortion?”
You confuse potentiality with actuality. An unborn child or infant or preschooler is potentially a Catholic Answers Forum Member but actually each is a human being, a substantial entity that can be counted. Moreover, the unborn child is a single entity about whom we can know the race and sex. In fact, those numbers are being studied in several countries due to the disproportionate abortion and infanticide rate of girls.

Assuming no immigration, if every female was aborted for 30 years, would the population of women decrease?

The population of Catholic Answers Forum could increase under that scenario.

Of course, not included are the children that would have been born to the 13 million aborted Blacks. We can’t know those numbers with nearly the certainty that we know the numbers of those killed by abortions or auto accidents. The 13 million is probably on the low side.

Another good point, which again slipped by the author of the original article.

This is just another thread on the same subject that is still ongoing.

I would say at least 11-15% though I probably am wrong. Probably much to my horror, the number will be shown to be much higher. 😦

Since you quoted my post, are you responding specifically to something I wrote, or are you making a general comment about this thread? Either way, can you be more specific as to which thread you’re referring?:tiphat:
