In a large parish (200-700 people at Mass), I was wondering what posture the congregation should assume while waiting in their pew to receive the Eucharist.
In the past, those who were the last benches to receive would sit until their turn to file into the communion line, and upon returning to their pew kneel. Now the entire parish has been told they are to remain standing until the very last person has received (which is in fact false, because one can assume whatever position they wish after receiving communion).
