As somoene who is struggling trying to find my path…

Does anyone know the patron saint of “losing your way”? Is there a good prayer to recite when you’ve lost your way?

I want to know what God’s plan is for me and I’m a very lost and confused sheep right now.

Thanks for your help.

Short prayer…to** Our Lady of Confidence.**…

My Mother, My Confidence.

**Lord Jesus Christ, Son Of The Living God,
**
Have Mercy On Me A Sinner.

St. Michael the Archangel
Haily Mary
Lord Jesus, Son of God Have Mercy on me a Sinner.

St. Raphael helps pilgrims … spiritual ones as well as those making physical journeys, I’m sure.

Here is a prayer:

Glorious Archangel St. Raphael, great prince of the heavenly court, you are illustrious for your gifts of wisdom and grace. You are a guide of those who journey by land or sea or air, consoler of the afflicted, and refuge of sinners.

I beg you, assist me in all my needs and in all the sufferings of this life, as once you helped the young Tobias on his travels. Because you are the “medicine of God” I humbly pray you to heal the many infirmities of my soul and the ills that afflict my body. I especially ask of you the favor (here mention your special intention), and the great grace of purity to prepare me to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

O Great Saint Joseph, you were completely obedient to the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Obtain for me the grace to know the state of life that God in his providence has chosen for me. Since my happiness on earth, and perhaps even my final happiness in heaven, depends on this choice, let me not be deceived in making it.

Obtain for me the light to know God’s Will, to carry it out faithfully, and to choose the vocation which will lead me to a happy eternity.

I think the best prayer comes straight from Jesus’ lips. It is called the Our Father. Will say one for you

There’s also the poem/hymn by Henry Newman, “Lead, Kindly Light”, which contains the line, “One step enough for me.”

I think St. Augustine may be who you are looking for. I included a link below where you can learn about him. Here also is a prayer.

Late have I loved Thee, O Lord; and behold,
Thou wast within and I without, and there I sought Thee.
Thou was with me when I was not with Thee.
Thou didst call, and cry, and burst my deafness.
Thou didst gleam, and glow, and dispell my blindness.
Thou didst touch me, and I burned for Thy peace.
For Thyself Thou hast made us,
And restless our hearts until in Thee they find their ease.
Late have I loved Thee, Thou Beauty ever old and ever new.
Thou hast burst my bonds asunder;

I recently went through a similar experience. I do not know the Patron Saint, but the Holy Spirit will reveal your gifts to you. I was “baptized” in the Holy Spirit, which releases the power of the Spirit that you received in confirmation. Since then, I have a direction. I am spreading the word everywhere I go. I can’t stop!

Catholic Charismatic Renewals (google them) regularly offer these seminars and I can’t recommend them enough. My faith is on fire ever since. I still had a dry spell recently, but that was just my personal desert to cross. It’s sign that the Lord has something in store for you. Submit to his will and watch what happens!

Christ’s PEACE to you.

The Memorare of St. Bernard
Remember O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help and sought thy intercession was left unaided, Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother, to thee I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O mother of the Word Incarnate! despise not my petitions, but, in thy mercy, hear and answer me. Amen
