Accomplishment tends toward simplicity. All the parsings of theology and philosophy are useful for academic sparring. The sources of those philosophies and ideas are the intimate inner journeys of men and women who were either graced with or worked to be receptive to insight. Their reportage became the jumping-off place for others who were lesser and more literal minds who took the symbols of another’s interpretations as literal truth, relative or absolute.

While a genuine interior realization is utterly simple, attempting to put such an ineffable experience into words, especially to attempt to signify its meaning, is a taxing exercise in exactitude. Few are up to it, but there are some spectacular successes. And yet they all point toward utter simplicity.

That is a most practical question. **The answer is that they are both thought.**Could be, but I really don’t know for sure what your friend specifically means. I don’t know you, either, save as some electrons dancing on a screen, which phenomenon is a profoundly significantly symbol. But it is one thing to absorb and manipulate book learned ideas, and a radically different one to delve within one’s self or their ideas of God and discover fundamentally life-changing perceptions on their own. That takes hard work and devotion. Spirituality is not by any means solely an intellectual exercise. Understanding comes from doing, not from book learning. Another way to say this might be that only doing is real learning.

Of course! that is why we are here. Like it or not, lol!
May I suggest an alternate view of your notion of Philosophy and Theology. In consideration that we think in movies not words and that either of these come in various forms it would be appropriate to consider them as part of the filters that we use to form those thoughts…Deletions, Distortions and Generalities are the filters we all use and therefore whatever -osopohy or -ology you use filters the information prior to formulation of thought as the submodality level that then gets translated to various meta levles as feelings and thouhts about that information having been filtered is entertained. Whatever meta level you think or feel at has been filtered by your -osophy or -ology.

When we express our thoughts in words those thoughts are again expressed via the filters. These filters are whatever -osophy or -ology you ascribe to and therefor theology and philosophy are not thoughts but rather filters as they operate as deletions, distortions and generalizations.

A list of filters including beliefs can be found here…

Beliefs:
The next filter is beliefs. Beliefs are generalizations about how the world is. One of the important elements in modeling is to find a person’s beliefs about the particular behavior we are trying to model. Richard Bandler says “Beliefs are those things we can’t get around.” Beliefs are the presuppositions that we have about the way the world is that either create or deny personal power to us. So, beliefs are essentially our on/off switch for our ability to do anything in the world. In the process of working with someone’s beliefs, it’s important to elicit or find out what beliefs they have that cause them to do what they do. We also want to find out the disabling beliefs, the ones that do not allow them to do what they want to do.
I unerstand you have a way of looking at things. I tend to see things the way that NLP sees things and for clarity and discussion this makes sense.

As you might imagine, I’m familiar with those.Yes it does, if we limit the discussion to the limitations of the human mind,
The fascinating part of all of this is it gives you a glimpse into the mind operating at full capacity…We believe that God knows, sees, hears all…and we imagine that God has no filters…and that God has the ability to imagine perfectly, Will perfectly, Act perfectly, Reason perfectly…and other such stuff that our created minds are able to do, although we do it imperfectly…and with that insight knowing that our minds work as they do…when we ascent in our meta frameworks by thinking about our feelings and feeling how we feel about our thoughts we get to the point where we can continue and continue to manifest meta levels…until we get to a point where we imagine our master meta frame…

On the other hand there is Veritatis Splendor…where we have true freedom…🙂

Thank you for sharing your perspective because I am interested in understanding it better.

First, perhaps I should have stated how I came to this understanding of the Fundamental Philosophy of Life: I wanted all my relationships and self to experience happiness without losing any peace. After learning that patience generates peace and kindness generates happiness (through the first 10 Days of the Love Dare), therefore making 1 Corinthians 13:4 and 13 Truth. I eventually desired greater peace and happiness, therefore had to extend my practice to the Greatest Commandments, which led to extending the practice to Embracing the Cross.

On this note, please recognize that by the incredible simplicity and elegance of Our God’s Word, and Him knowing that only doing is the real learning, He stated the Fundamental Philosophy of Life in the form of commanding action.

Regarding “The answer is that they are both thought.”
Please consider the following concepts:
If we limit perspective, then you are correct in that they are both are thought. However, since we know God knows everything, then they are both known.

And to redirect to the thread subject and in efforts to help me widen my perspective: Would you please share harsh critiques of the fallacies you perceive in the questions and answers I proposed?

Thank you very much for your time and consideration. I look forward to further discussion.
