What questions should I ask New Age pastor?

I really don’t think I’d be going. But I’m curious to know how your girlfriend got involved with this, and more importantly, does she have a background in Christianity? Would she herself know the difference between truth according to scripture and falsehood?

If you do end up going, the question I’d have for him is Who does he believe The Christ is? (Because it’s not the same Jesus you and I would believe in.) Does your girlfriend have a belief in Jesus, and who does she think he is?
 
She’s from Russia and has an aversion to Christianity. She got into hippie stuff, law of attraction, Atlantis, etc.

Let me clarify. He makes $100,000 from being leader of this church. I had dinner with a board member. He’s also a teacher at a junior college
 
I accept that he needs to earn a living like anyone else. However, here what I’m guessing happens: he gives out free one-hour sessions to a large number of people (anyone can get one for free), and then a small fraction of those people get “hooked” and come back to him a great many times, believing that they are getting great value for the thousands they pay him … but are they?
 
I guess only they can answer that. Each one for him or herself.
 
Since his salary is $100,000 dollars for the time he spends there, I think the additional fees for his nonsense (I’ve researched it and it’s mainly new thought/law of attraction drivel) are gravy.
 
I think I’m going to abandon this. This stuff is giving me a horrible feeling.
