What religion do you think has the simplest way of becoming a christian?
Christianity. What religion do you think has the simplest way of becoming a christian?
I’ll say a prayer for him, but you’ll get more attention if you start a prayer thread. Just click on “New Topic” in the top right corner of the main page.I need a prayer for my father. He passed away four months ago and I heard that if you pry for your departed loved one it will help them enter the kingdom of heaven.
I don’t know where else to ask for help.
Not if you don’t want to give it. It’ll be enough to pray for “JM’s dad.”Do you need his name?
God will know who we’re referring to.Will umm… they know though?
I dunno about the LDS, but that’s def not a Catholic thing. We can pray and offer Masses for the dead, but you have to be alive to be baptized.I think the Mormons. Offer this as a . baptism for the dead?
Being a Christian is not about being easy or simple. It is about faith and sacrifice. It is hard, as the Gospel tells us many times. What religion do you think has the simplest way of becoming a christian?
+1You can become “a Christian” by simply believing in Christ without needing to affiliate with a religion. However, since we believe that the best way to Christ is through his One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, you should join that church if you really want to be the best Christian and closest to Christ, including receiving Him in Holy Communion.
As for “simple”, there are plenty of nondenominational Protestant churches that believe in Christ where you can basically just walk in off the street and join and if you don’t happen to like what the preacher is saying you can quit.
I don’t think “simple” = “best” here. Truly loving Christ requires effort. Valid Baptism and other valid sacraments are also required if you want to follow Christ’s teaching.
