What rules apply to making and taking apart Rosaries?

Earlier this evening I was making a knotted single decade rosary bracelet. I had finished making one and realized that it wasn’t the right size so I had to make a new one. I cut it apart in order to use the crucifix and miraculous medal attached to it.

  I know that rosaries are sacramentals and, therefore, they should be buried when they can no longer be used. From this stems my three questions, which are:

1. Are rosary bracelets considered sacramentals?
2. If I cut one apart is it considered the desecration of a sacramental?
3. Should the cord that once comprised one of these bracelets be buried?
