At this time in my life, the passage that best describes my life… and which will probably not change anytime soon:

"You will be hated by all… "

:hypno:

**Hebrews 11:8-10

By faith Abraham, when he was called, obeyed by going out to a place which he was to receive for an inheritance; and he went out, not knowing where he was going. By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise; for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.**

i like this one also and it applies to my life because yrs ago… i prayed and thoguht God was calling me to move many miles from my “home”… which i did but then some really odd things happened :hypno::hmmm: so sometimes i think it was actually the devil speaking to me… and his followers…

God knows… and He aint tellin’… 😃

so now i’m in a foreign land… VERY foreign… :hmmm::coffeeread:

but at least i don’t live in a place where there are a lot of BHO supporters… :extrahappy:

God is good… 🙂

Psalm 40: He heard my cry and He answered me!
well, at least i’ve got half of this equation… going on…

I have actually gotten the feeilng that he has “heard my cry” but…

as to that second part…

hmm… :hypno::hmmm::coffeeread:

guess the jury’s still out… ???

“I believe, help my unbelief”

~Liza
i can relate…

i was there the other day… seemed to have this weird moment when i questioned everything i believe - or thought i believe in… from God Exists to… God Established a Church to… God Loves Me… and everything in-between…

but anyway…

it only lasted about a minute…

i wish i could remember what caused that… hmmm… o well…

Matthew 6:34 - *Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof. *
hoping you don’t have more evil in your life than i do…

No, i know you don’t… because God doesn’t give us more than we can bear…

Or does he?

Maybe he does if we are bad enough sinners… or ex-sinners or whatever…

But then again, sometimes i feel i am paying not only for MY sins but everyone else’s as well… 😦

and maybe i am… some things are just mysterious…

Wisdom 9:17
“And who shall know thy thought, except thou give wisdom, and send thy Holy Spirit from above?”

Things got a lot better for me when I realized I was clueless and needed help.

what’s really bad is when you get more & more clue-less the older you get… :whacky::hmmm:

I know Jesus better than i ever used to (before came back to the Catholic Church)… so that’s good, but things in my so-called personal life are getting stranger as the days go by… can’t begin to explain with mere words, in the time i have right now… but suffice it to say that… I’m more than a little discombobulated… not so much by circumstances but as to waht the heck God wants me to do about them…

but, thankfully, i AM far LESS discombobulated than i was earlier today… before i spent time with Jesus in the Real Presence… 🙂

have you ever done that?

I was really clue-less before i learned to do that…

but… hmm… now i think about it: back then i didn’t KNOW i was clue-less… ignorance is bliss, as they say…

but knowing Jesus is MORE bliss… even if knowing Him, intimately, as one does in the Real Presence, does involve seeing much more clearly how awful sin is…🙂

Distracted, once you cry out, it helps to wait and rest in HIM, the amazing thing about God, is we dont have to know His plan for Him to make it all work out.
Cry out, and WAIT for His answer. He hears and He is listening.
The scripture that got me too " I cried out and He answered me" was “Be Still and KNOW that I am God”

Faith is the Knowing He is in control of it all Hope is waiting for what He’s working on your life. It is worth the wait. No matter the pain and the confusion, waiting is worth it.

Be Still and Know!

I am ashamed to say, but sometimes this is me

“For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing that I hate.” (Romans 7:15). Paul then cries out, “Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death? Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then, I of myself serve the law of God with my mind, but with my flesh I serve the law of sin.” (7:24-25)

‘Come to me, all you who labour and are heavy-burdened, and I will give you rest’. Truly, being in His presence, in prayer, in Church, in the sacraments, is the only time I feel truly ‘rested’.
