Can someone please tell me what to do, as I have been thinking about this for almost a year now. I went to confession at a local church because I did not want to confess this sin to my priest. After doing my best to confess all of my sins and feeling so good and glad that I finally made the best confession in my entire life, and awaiting for absolution the priest asked me where do I attend mass. When I told the priest what church I go to, and that it is a traditional church, he then told me that he could not give me absolution that I should come back in a week or so, and that he would call the local bishop to see if it was OK to absolve my sins. I do not know if I can gather up enough courage to confess this again

Hi,

The only reason I can think of for the priest to be troubled would be if you attend a Society of St. Pius X Church, which as a Catholic, you should not.

As to what to do; go to another priest. If you knew you were going to die next week, the prospect of going to Confession would suddenly become a lot easier. Well, you don’t know that you aren’t going to die next week. So get yourself to Confession and give thanks for the price He paid that your sins might be forgiven.
I will be praying for you.
