What should I do about this in Confession?

I was preparing my confession today for Confession tommorrow and I can’t remeber if I committed this one sin. I mean I just can’t remeber. What should I do? Thanks and God bless.

Just tell the priest that you can’t remember. Be honest and direct. Blessings flow from the Sacrement of Reconcilliation.

I agree with Chickamauga. The last thing you want to do is lie in confession. So, be honest, and explain it to the priest exactly as it explained it to us. God will know the truth, and will act accordingly.

After confessing everything I can think of and remember, I ask to be forgiven for anything I’ve done that I’ve forgotten.
Going more often than every 6 - 8 weeks would probably alleviate this problem for me.

Amen … not only easier to remember but you can see which sins keep cropping up time and again and you know you need to work on them.

Or you could make a written list … if you do a daily exam of conscience you can write down what occurs to you, or you can run through just before your confession.
