What should I do if I can't remember the priest's counsel during confession?

I made a scheduled confession yesterday because I was dealing with a significant life issue; however, I was unable to absorb some important parts of my priest’s counsel because I was very emotional, and left after absolution and dismissal in the same state. Should I go back to confession to regain the advice?
