What should I do to prepare to be a Godparent in the Philippines

Greetings, and thank you in advance.

I was raised Catholic, through Confirmation in 7th grade. I believe that was the last time in which i have gone to confession.

I been honored with the responsibility of being a God parent, to the most wonderful baby, named Arius, only he’s in the Philippines and I’m in the USA currently.

I want to be prepared, before I go there, in Feb, and I want to make certain, it’s okay for me to take the host.

I’ve been married and divorced 3 times, but never married in the church, and the 3rd, has already been annulled.

I’m just wondering, what I should do before I go, should I seek confession? Thank you again, for looking at my question.
