Here is my situation:

Wednesday is the feast of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist. However, I still have school on Wednesday. Do I skip school and go to church, or do I go to school. It’s only half a day of school, but I’m not sure if my mother wants me to be absent again because I didn’t go to school two days last week. What should I do?

I don’t understand the issue. There is no obligation to attend Mass on this day in the Ukrainian Catholic Church. If you can go to Mass before or after school, then go. But, no, you should not skip school to go to Mass. Obey your mother.

Since it is a half day, you may go to church after school if there is a mass in the evening. But ask first.
