What should I see in San Diego?

Looking for suggestions of must-see Catholic spots in the San Diego area. From bookstores, to monasteries, to churches, etc. And, by the way, who is St. Diego, anyway?
 
Here’s a small list, by no means exhaustive:
As for San Diego’s patron saint, St. Didacus (“San Diego” is the Spanish version of his name) was a fifteenth-century Franciscan friar.
