Friends where does it say in this Teaching of Jesus: āif you want to, if youād like to, here is a option for you?ā IT DOSENT! "John.20 Verses 20 to 23"When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. Jesus said to them again, āPeace be with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.ā And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, āReceive the Holy Spirit. **If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.ā **

CCC CCC - āto confess serious [Mortal] sins at least once a year.ā Anyone who is aware of having committed a mortal sin must not receive Holy Communion, even if he experiences deep contrition,"
CCC1493 One who desires to obtain reconciliation with God and with the Church, must confess to a priest all the unconfessed grave [As in MORTAL!] sins he remembers after having carefully examined his conscience. The confession of venial faults, without being necessary in itself, is nevertheless strongly recommended by the Church
Contrition and a āfirm desire not to repeat the sin againā are ONLY two essential parts of Confession; ONE MUST [NO OPTIONS] Confess all Mortal sins to a priest in the Sacrament of Confession.
