So Catholics are allowed to listen to songs with really “dark” lyrics? Is this what Jesus taught?
Colossians 3:16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

Ephesians 5:19 singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts.

Corinthians 14:26 What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.

Psalm 104:33-34 I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. My meditation of him shall be sweet: I will be glad in the LORD.

This morning, I think the first song I listened to, was the Perfect Crime by Faith No More. If you don’t know it, if you’ve ever seen Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey, it’s the song that is playing when the evil robot uses(themses)? are on the way to Kill Bill and Ted (I think). It is now stuck in my head
