Slowdive - “Star Roving”

One of the big name bands of the Shoegaze subgenre of alternative rock that was popular in the late 80’s - mid 90’s. Lots of guitar distortion and heavy reverb creating a hazy melodic atmosphere that can sometimes be incomprehensible (especially live). Most of their lyrics (pick a song) don’t make much sense, and I’m not sure they’re intended to. This is their first new material in 22 years. I heard it last week on a local college radio station and really liked it, but they didn’t say who it was. It took me 4 days searching around to figure it out!
