What song are you listening to right now?

Beautiful is the only word to describe High Falls. Dickey Betts wrote three of my favorites: this, Jessica, and Blue Sky. I think he’s very underrated as a songwriter.

I am not familiar with ‘Blue Sky’, so I looked it up and gave it a listen. At first I wasn’t too sure … there was singing in it. (The horror!) But I really loved the guitar work.
I am really partial to instrumentals. I love music, but I’m no fan of poetry. (I know, I’m missing a lot. But I truly do love music. No words needed, and (especially) no visuals. But that’s just me.)

Agree but as far as Dickey Betts goes, with the Allman Brothers Band, I think you can include 'In Memory Of Elizabeth Reed" (an instrumental for you) and Revival (admittedly a hippie tune, a sign of the times)

I had to click on the link to They Call Me the Breeze. It’s one of my favorites by Lynyrd Skynyrd because of that tin pan alley piano playing.

It has a much longer instrumental part than the others and really captures the joy that the song was meant to evoke. The guitar interplay between Duane and Dickey in this is absolutely breathtaking. I could listen to it all day.
