Pax Domini,

I know I am getting really private here, but this is a safe place where anonymity is usually kept secret. 🙂

🙂 I want to know what spiritual experiences, events, realizations, and providential moments brought you to know God’s love for you?

I will share some of my experiences
 :o

When I was taking a micro-biology course (in college) studying the inner workings of a cell, it seemed like the smallest life, a living cell, where all life springs could not have occurred or been made without God creating it. 😉 All the inner working of cell like the mitochondria, chromosomes, nucleus, even how the cell brings in food, and the mechanism for that process going through the cell membrane, it seemed like the possibility of that happening by mere chance for the first time for the first living cell on earth; the chance of that happening in the midst of a swarm of elements and compounds swimming around by mere chance seemed like a much greater unlikelihood than simply God creating even the first cell.

Also in college when I took physics classes all those exact laws of how everything works, seemed to me like the only possibility was that God created those universal laws.

When I was twenty one I was at college, prayed my rosary all week, went to confession and mass and had a huge mystical experience in my apartment. By that experience, I was keenly aware of angels and demons. This lead me to further know God’s unique love and mercy for me. 😉

Also when I was twenty one in college, I was at mass during the week and had the most amazing feeling of God’s overwhelming love for me, I felt that such an experience could only come from God.

The book the Case for Christ, I read when in college, really proved to me that Christ really did rise from the dead. And that the New Testament miracles were really historical facts. I read the bible for literally thousands of hours in my life, and I love it.

When I studied about the miracles of Fatima, and read the eyewitness testimony of the miracle of the sun, and that 40,000-100,000 people witnessed it, was huge for me in knowing God’s love for mankind.

The Eucharistic miracle of Lanciano, when I discovered a picture of it in a Catholic bookstore, also proved for me the real presence.

Then when I studied about the miracle of the image on the tilma of Our Lady of Guadalupe, and how the ink never touches the cloth and it is not absorbed into the cloth, that scientists say that the image hoovers above the cloth. And that millions of native Mexicans converted to Catholicism after the miracle, I was like “Wow,” it is a real miraculous image.

The stigmata of Katya Rivas, when I watched her have a live Stigmata on Fox News, proved to me the existence of the truth about Christ and his Church. You can look up her stigmata up on youtube.

Also during an interview for some position, the interviewer did exactly something that I was trying to do exactly in my fraternity in college, something that would only happen in one out of over a several billion chances. I will not go into the specifics, but this definitely proved for me the existence of God.

After my biggest temptation I have ever had, to the most evil thing I was ever tempted to, immediately a snake came into my house, and I crushed it’s head. What is the chance of that?

I could go more into several events, but that would just embarrass me, 😊 I would look crazy, and I am not crazy. But I don’t want you to be embarrassed, please tell me your experiences.

I want to hear your stories. Please share.

Here is a great bible quote for that,

Acts 17:26, “And he made from one every nation of men to live on the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods (time) and the boundaries of their habitation (exact place where they live), that they should seek God, in hope that they might feel after him and find him. Yet he is not far from each one of us, for ‘In him we live and move and have our being
’”

Couldn’t you have just shooed it out? I like snakes. 😩

When I returned to the Catholic church after having been away from the church since my teens and had a bout of Protestantism I wanted to pray the rosary but I was worried it might be “idolatry” as the Protestants teach. I didn’t want God to think I was worshiping Mary. So I held my first catholic book about the rosary I found at Goodwill called “The Secret of the Rosary” by st. louis demontfort. I asked God if it was ok to pray the rosary while I was walking into my bedroom holding that book. All of a sudden I was surrounded by the smell of the most amazing flowers I ever smelled. I couldn’t see them but man, never smelled anything like it before! Then a few days later I was in bed and that same smell came back and my then husband said “what is that?! flowers?” Then it went away. It hasn’t happened since but it was a confirmation for me that yes its ok to pray the rosary. Later I found out that Mary’s presence usually one will smell heavenly flowers. So I like to think she led me back to the church, both her and her Son!

Iv’e had other mystical experiences but I don’t want to write so much I put you all to sleep, lol!
blessings!
I liked your scripture quote!:o

Nothing, as I remember nothing in my life had any supernatural meaning.

I have heard from a few people at my Church that they too have smelled flowers, while holding a rosary or some similar experience. How awesome!đŸŒș🙏

In 2002 an 2003 I was diagnosed with 2 different cancers. The first one scared me, the second one seemed ok. 2 years ago I fell while walking my 90# grand puppy. . . 3 fractures in my arm and a fractured eye socket. The whole experience taught me humility. I knew God had a hand in that. About 6 months after the fall, I was diagnosed with cancer again. I didn’t know why but I felt total serenity. Then I realized why. God has a plan for me. My spiritual life has not been the same since (in a very good way :D.

I forgot to mention that one, yes, I too smelled an overwhelming smell of flowers when praying before. It was like someone stuck, over ten thousand roses in my house. Lol! 🙂 It was absolutely heavenly. I gave up one of my attachments for union with God, I gave it up through Mary’s Immaculate Heart, and boom immediately a huge smell of roses. Every time I would pray for two weeks, I smelt an overwhelming smell of roses. The smell would last for the whole time I was praying, it was amazing. Then, I picked up my attachment again, like an idiot, and I immediately quit smelling the roses. I have since gave up my attachment, but no smell of roses. I have never smelled anything like it before, it was the distinct smell of roses, but was way more beautiful than earthly roses, heavenly, I may say.

So you say in your writing, elohimrules, that you held up St. Louis de Montfort’s book, “The Secret of the Rosary” and smelt the roses, interestingly, I have that book too! I suggest to you and anyone else who has not read St. Louis De Montfort’s other book “True Devotion,” and done their consecration to Mary and Jesus, to do it, it will be the best thing you have ever done. Just look up on the internet how to do the consecration, and by his other book, “Preparation for the Consecration, 33 Days”, and follow it exactly. The back of my cover read, on “True Devotion,” “the quickest and easiest way to become a saint,” well I wanted that. I don’t think I am a saint yet, but it definitely helped me majorly grow in holiness. I love being a “slave of Our Lady and Jesus” and the whole concept of going to Jesus through Mary, and being “In Jesus living in Mary.” And giving Mary everything (all my poor prayers, works, joys, sacrifices, and sufferings) so she can make it more beautiful and way more perfect through her Immaculate Heart when she gives it to Jesus. Mary absolutely clothes me in the robes of Esau and makes me Jacob, the predestined child, through this consecration. It is a beautiful spirituality! Mary really does lead me to Christ, more perfectly through this consecration. I love St. Louis de Montfort too, and St. Max Kolbe was awesome too, I did his consecration to Mary too. In Christo per Mariam, Michael.
