What is the Catholic Church’s view on free speech?
I’m asking because of my university’s student newspaper. I go to a public university, but I was wondering if there were limits to free speech when it comes to the school newspaper letting the president of the pro-abortion group on campus write a weekly sex column. I’m trying to get a pro-life point of view in the paper, but unfortunately they haven’t gotten back to me yet. It seems the majority of the articles in the paper are from one point of view.Apologies, Will. I must have one stroke or dot incorrect. I’ll check

What I mean to ask is, should we allow people to submit articles about all kinds of sexual practices that go against natural law? Is it against free speech if we as a society decide to not allow these distasteful articles to be printed?I suspect that they don’t intend to get back to you, Will. If the newspaper was interested in providing a balance, they would supply one, but it sounds like they intend to promote popularly supported agendas. I doubt a university newspaper would put itself at risk by supporting pro-life viewpoints.
