What things try your patience the most?

Loud, head-banging music in stores. I’m trying to make a shopping decision, and the music is so loud I can’t even think.

Automated recorded telemarketing phone calls. (We’re on the no-call list, but they come in anyway.) Caller ID says Unavailable or Out of Area 00. Have to answer because my husband has relatives in Italy, and when they call the caller ID says the same thing.
 
People who are chronically late! It is so inconsiderate! Like saying that your time is not important to them. How Rude!
 
Cell phones in church. (My priest told me of a woman at a funeral who actually talked on her phone all the way to Communion, if you can imagine!)

Sidebar conversations in meetings, concerts, church - when a few people can’t wait to talk till whatever event is over. I have hearing loss in one ear and it makes it very difficult for me to hear what I came for.
 
I try my best to be a patient, caring nurse, but some people hate hospitals so bad that they take it out on me (and I have never seen them before.) I have been cussed at, yelled at, threatened, etc., all because of their frustrations. Thankfully, 99.99% of my patients are not like that, are very sweet and loving, and I enjoy taking care of them. But that one can ruin your day. I pray every morning for patience, and I do try to be understanding of all my patients.
 
The thing that tries my patience most is, myself. When I do work and become anxious and short-fused until I blow, this makes me even more angry, then sorry for making an idiot out of myself.

Other than that, I’m a pretty patient guy.

That’s funny CB Catholic! I’m a nurse too. Everyday, I pray for patience to deal with the ugly people too. I don’t know why people act that way. 😦
 
People that have a massive sense of entitlement, but no work ethic! Whatever happened to the concept of earning things?

Very true! Add to that instant gratification. Nobody wants to wait for anything anymore or work hard for it.
 
When I saw the title of this thread, the first thing that came into mind was “myself”. A bit of thought later, and I concluded that I’d have to agree with that!!!:banghead:
