On the Radio, our bishop announced that he was allowing (because of a large Irish population) us to celebrate St Patrick’s day on the Saturday before Palm Sunday.
When praying the LOTH, would I
- have an option which to celebrate
- MUST celebrate the Solemnity as it supersedes a Feast
- MUST celebrate St Patrick’s day in obedience and Move the Solemnity (say to the previous day: Friday… hence no Abstinence)
- Celebrate St Patrick’s day and drop the Solemnity

- Call the Chancery and plead for clarification
- Sleep all day Saturday and avoid all prayers
- Pray that there is a train wreck and I die in the crash
