What to do about my husband?

Wow – it sounds like he’s in a lot of trouble… It’s easy to understand why the government is so upset when you consider that they gave him a security clearance for his job. This clearance may have given him access to extremely confidential information, and the government is going to get very nervous if someone who once had access to that type of information becomes antagonistic.

The security clearance screening process tries to weed out people who might someday turn hostile, but they’re obviously not perfect. I hear that it has been much more difficult to get a clearance after 9/11.

Why are you getting letters from the MPAA…has he also been illegally copying movies? This would be a seperate matter. Good luck.
 
Note also that to the extent you discuss confidences here on these boards that were told to you by your husband that you may very well be waiving any sort of legal privilege you may have had to keep that information to yourselves. Please see an attorney.
 
his biggest mistake is working this stuff on his own. his skills would earn him a FORTUNE in the right circles. If it was me, i’d be calling the company with the patent and arranging a meeting, pronto, to discuss a large paycheck with them.
 
My prayers to you and your family. Take some time to clear your head, this has got to be very stressful. I remember your past posts. While you should talk to an attorney, try to also talk to a priest and/or a good counciler.
