I know everyone sins, however some of the things my family members do I don’t think is right, and if I say something no one listens. For example, my brother sins a lot; smokes, lies a lot, steals (not sure if he still does), used to gamble, etc. …I am pretty sure he has not gone to confession for a long time, and I told my mom that she should tell him to confess because I know he will not listen to me, and actually he won’t listen to my mother either, but I get worried about my siblings and parents if they don’t confess or when they sin. Another thing that bothered me, is my sister just recently got a new job but a girl she knows who is the manager at the place told her to lie and say she had experience as an assistant manager when she didn’t have that experience. My sister is smart and I know she knows how to do what’s required, however I don’t like that she lied. I didn’t know she lied until after she got the job, and I told her she shouldn’t had done that. But, whenever I tell her not to lie, she thinks the lies she says are no big deal.; And, when she does lie it’s never to hurt someone, but I still don’t think it’s right. I just want everyone in my family to do the right thing, but they always seem to justify everything wrong they do. I get worried that they might be living in mortal sin, and when I think about it I get upset. I am not perfect, but I feel like I have grown a lot into my faith and try to not sin. Should I be worried for my family members? Is there a prayer I could say for them? Sorry if this is a dumb question, but is there a saint I could pray to to ask to forgive someone, or even ask a priest to forgive someone, such in my situation for my family members, friends, or whoever?

St Noah. He was the most righteous man … of his generation. That says something.

Pray the Golden Arrow.

May the most holy, most sacred, most adorable, most incomprehensible and unutterable Name of God, be always praised, blessed, loved, adored and glorified in Heaven, on earth and under the earth, by all the creatures of God and by the Sacred Heart of Our Lord Jesus Christ in the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar.

Amen.

I know you worry about these things but be carefull to not JUDGE because he who judges will be judged.
You can not force people to change the only thing you can do is live as a good example and pray for them. some of us change, some earlier then others.

I was like this and i came to see that i was judging them. Just add them to your prayers and let God do the rest.

Pray for them. We can evanglise, but only the Holy Ghost can change one’s heart.

This is the problem…there is no sense of sin in the world any more. This saddens me very much.

Yes, pray, but do NOT stop being a good example and trying to plant seeds. Pray for yourself that the Holy Ghost will give you the right words when the time comes. That you may plant HIS seeds on FERTILE soil.

I do not believe one should pray only and not do any work (actions). You need to continue every day of your life to be the hands, the feet, the voice of Christ. And to see His face in every person. Gentleness and kindness. Yet those two are very difficult for me because I’m so passionate about my faith. My husband thinks I come across as unkind but that’s a misconception of the love that comes from my passion. I’ve always said I’m more like St. Paul and want to shout from all the rooftops and try to get people to feel what I feel.

Keep up your good work and don’t lose faith. Tell Jesus you trust in Him and let things happen in His time, not ours. You may find out on the other side the fruitfulness of your words/actions and prayers.

Keep praying for them. I would suggest to Mary, after all she changed Jesuses mind on whether or not to make wine in Cana. Try to set a good example. And BE PATIENT. Rome wasn’t built in a day.
