What to do if I am unable to go to confession because I cannot prepare for it due to my failing memory?

I am in a schizophrenic state. After I commit a sin, I cannot remember it even a few seconds later and I cannot grasp and put into words the essence of the sin. My sins are growing in number and in wickedness each day, I cry out to God, the Virgin Mary and the saints in vain, nothing helps to change my condition and I am growing in the fear of going to Hell each day. What can I do?

Please talk to your priest in regards to what you can do about your memory and confession. He’ll be the most qualified person to answer this question and help you.

God will hear you in your suffering. Pray to God. Speak to your psych team and ask for pastoral care in the Catholic Faith. I am praying for you in my prayers.
