A weeknight date 👍 That’s a great way to keep it low key for a while. Good luck.

God bless,
Thanks. Something came up at her work at the last minute, and she had to cancel. She did try to reschedule, but I’m a little iffy. I need to get back to her by tomorrow, though, since the first of the times she suggested is tomorrow evening. I’m thinking that I should hold off, until she’s less busy, as it looks like she has a lot on her plate right now.

I am sorry to hear that.

It’s a good sign though that she wants to reschedule for tomorrow! That means she really wants to see you, and is not just putting you off because she is busy!

My favorite thing on the first few dates was always to go somewhere that would help spark conversation. A museum, a zoo, the park. I often got emotionally exhausted just sitting over dinner or coffee staring at someone and making conversation. Even if I really liked the person, I really felt a lot of pressure to talk and talk. If we went to the zoo or window shopping it took the pressure off. We could talk about family or our lives but there was always the chance to say “look at that funny monkey!” and not feel like I had to be talking all the time. I also liked to be able to stretch my legs and walk around instead of sitting and talking.

Don’t get me wrong…I loved long and intimate dates where we just talked forever and ever! However that didn’t “kick in” for me until after I got to know someone a little better, maybe 3-4 dates or more.

Praying for you.
Thanks, Monicad. I told her that I wanted to wait until after this week, as she said that this week was going to be a hectic week for her. I think this would work out best for both her and me, as it gives me more time to weigh this whole thing, and it would make it easier on her schedule. It sounds reasonable, right? We’ll see how this one goes, if she replies.

Hey, Some CatholicGuy, don’t make the very male mistake and OVERthink this. Enjoy.

Hi Joan, That’s easier said than done when it comes to guys, we love to overthink, rethink and overthink and then 2nd guess every move we’ve made. And then when we’ve exhausted every possible avenue there we’ll go back over old ground again trying to parse any meaning out something we could’ve overlooked.

Anyhow, CatholicGuy, I think it is a definite good sign that she wants to reschedule. People do sometimes have busy weeks and jammed schedules, but if she said reschedule and is serious about then you’ve got a good signal coming from her.

Good luck.

Hey what’s everybody else think about all this thinking? Just kidding and you are right Chad. But in all fairness women do it too.

God bless,

Yes, don’t overthink it since the millions of factors involve preclude you from arriving at any reliable conclusion. The whole thinking stretches your grey cells but doesn’t give you anything concrete in return. Just live on.
