What to do when you're an only child

Ask them in an offended tone of voice "“Well, what do you expect ME to do about it??”

I love that answer! I was an only child during the Baby Boom and yes, I did catch some flak for it. Everyone assumes that only children are “spoiled.”
I, too, took comfort in the thought that Jesus was an only child.
It’s really nobody’s business-- no one knows what anyone else’s family situation is like.
After feeling sorry for myself all through childhood because I had no brothers or sisters (my mother couldn’t have any more) I am thinking now that maybe it’s not so bad to be a singleton. Now in adulthood, I see families in which siblings are not speaking to each other, or fighting over inheritances.
