One more thing.

I absolutely did not want to shock you in your faith and your belief by offering you these videos. I deeply respect the faith.

But the choice was difficult for me, because on the one hand I asked for your help concerning this discovery and on the other I could not hide what it was about.

Some people might have thought that the approval of the authorities did not matter to me. Yes that matters a lot. But, the approaches I made to the ecclesiastical authorities all went unanswered.

Before sharing these three videos with you. I made sure there was nothing shocking to a believer. I had these videos watched by this deeply believing Mexican friend. After, she assured me that she found nothing shocking about it.
I was reassured. But, as you saw in the intro video, I stress this point heavily.

Tomorrow (if my electricity allows it), I will put these three videos in “private” mode. Only accessible via the internet link. They will therefore no longer be directly viewable by everyone on Youtube.

This while waiting for the results of my approaches to the Bishop and the Vatican observatory.
And also to respect the fears you have expressed.

Sincerely, Marcel.

Historians should note that the astronomical dating system used in these tables includes the year “0” while the traditional [BCE - CE dating convention] does not.
In serious astrophysical software, you will never see this notion of year 0. Besides, you have to be careful when subtracting dates when going from -1 to 1. But this is done perfectly well.
The software on which this work is based is “Starry Night Pro” does not make this kind of error and also takes calendar changes into account.

For the last point, concerning the calendar used. I confirm this is indeed the Julian calendar (the only one valid for these dates). The year 0 did not exist, we went from -1 to 1. (The very notion of zero only appeared much later and still not in the current sense)

The Babylonians were the first to use zero (around the 3rd century AD),

I watched the video and first of all I congratulate you on developing some very handy simulators.
Thank you very much.
Where I see a problem is in your basic premise that the star was certainly a conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn. How do you know that? It was a suggestion of Kepler, I believe, who observed, as you do, that the conjunction occurred on 25th December over Bethlehem.
Usually in documentaries about the life of Jesus, there is always a section devoted to the circumstances of his birth.
And in the majority of cases, it is about the conjunction Jupiter and Saturn of the year 7 BC.
This is where I set out to do this check and see where it goes…
It is only the basis of my work. And only because documentaries always mentioned this conjunction as “the star of Bethlehem”

At that time I did not ask myself whether this was theologically acceptable. It was a “simple” check out at the start.

Im sorry it is not a matter of opinion whether the OP has to consult the Church over a research theory which as you say makes no difference to our salvation. He has no such obligation.

Marcel, I’m glad I gave you a good tip …

Unfortunately, as far as the mother tongue is concerned, mine is Italian: from bad to worse 😃
