So the Gideon people came to my school today and handed out bibles. A lot of the kids on the bus found some creative ways to use them one threw it across the bus another gathered 5 of them and stuck it to the a one of those things you use to keep your balance when the bus is moving. A lot of people just ended up throwing them on the ground. I felt a little bad because all of these bibles were just lying on the ground. But now I have 5 copies of the new testament psalms and proverbs that I am not going to read nor are they approved for personal study by the Usccb. Any ideas on what to do with them.

Donate them (as @TheLittleLady said), give them to non-churched people you’re acquainted with, keep one for yourself. The New Testament, Psalms, and Proverbs aren’t fundamentally different from what we use (especially if you’re grounded in your faith), and a copy of some scripture is better than none in my opinion.

You might consider sendng the Gideons an email telling them what happened, and asking them what they would like you to do with their Bibles. The address is: tgi@gideons.org
