Hi I was wondering if you can clear up a few questions I have , first
Sunday obligation , does that include evening mass aswell
and also is commuion served at every Sunday mass doesn’t that mean it would be a shorter mass / homily than usual ? And also when can you go over
And light a candle and pray etc ?

Sunday evening Mass fulfills the obligation.
It probably won’t be any shorter than a Sunday morning Mass.

You can light votive candles at any time, but it’s better to do it some other time than during Mass (like just before, just after, etc).
 
So is commuion every sunday and in the week ?
But isn’t evening mass the same as the Sunday morning one ?
Is there a mass everyday ? Sorry for rambling I just want to understand
 
Sunday Mass can be celebrated from Satruday at 4 PM through Sunday until midnight.
 
The Mass the day beforeis called the vigil Mass and “counts” for you obligation. Some parishes have Sat. evening, Sunday morning, afternnon, and/or Sunday evening Masses–all of them fulfill the obligation.

At some parishes there is a vigil Mass for days of obligation as well.

You may light candles any time before or after Mass, Making a contribution and praying at that time. You may also do the same at other times during the week also.

What do you mean by Catholic/Baptist? You can’t be both.

Yes, we have communion every Sunday. For Catholics, the Eucharist (communion) is an integral part of our Sunday service, not something we do occasionally to remember Jesus.

Yes, Saturday evening, Sunday morning, and Sunday afternoon Mass are all essentially the same. They have the same Bible readings, the same prayers and such. They may have some different hymns (some parishes have more traditional and more contemporary Masses) and they may have a different homily (sermon) depending on if a different priest celebrates.

Most parishes have Mass every day, but it depends on the availability of the priest, some parishes share a priest, so they may not be available ever day. Mass during the week is basically the same as Mass on Sunday. During the week there is often less or no music. There are only two reading from the Bible, as opposed to three on Sunday, and there are a few less major prayers, no Gloria or Creed, but most of it is pretty much the same.

Yes, the obligation is to attend Mass sometime from after 4pm Saterday till midnight sunday.

The Holy Eucharist is part of every Mass, be it on Sunday anyother day of the week. Really has no effect on how long the Homily is.
And also when can you go over

Ramble away. One question what is catholic/baptist?
 
Oh okay so does that mean I would only have to go once on a Sunday and holy days of obligation to forfill the obligation ?
 
catholic / baptist because I go to a baptist church and going to leave soon to venture out into the catholic church . It’s a long story anyway thanks

Yes. Many protestant churches have a morning and evening service, but Catholics don’t. We attend Mass one time any time during the day or the proceeding evening.
 
Oh I see now , I think that’s better then the protstant way thanks for letting me know , I can’t wait to go to mass soon 🙂
