An interesting challenge for sure. I would suggest less dogmatism and more questioning of human institutions and traditions. More rationality and less pagan theology. But whatever floats your boat is fine with me and most Protestants I think.

If Catholics would temper their zeal with more respect for the beliefs of others that would be welcome. Zeal is a carefully chosen word by the way.
I would suggest more Jesus and less church (or Church if you prefer). More Christianity and less Catholicism. They are not equivalent in lots of people’s minds, maybe in most people’s minds.

What I meant was that Catholics in general (if that’s at all fair) are much more occupied with their Catholicism than they are with Christianity. And please remember that for many of us the two are separate.

Thanks. I came to this web site reasonably open to converting to Catholicism. My experience here has been almost totally negative. You all seem to need to defend Catholicism regardless of the legitimacy of the questions. If you were contemplating entering into the Fullness of the Truth, you would be much more humble, more willing to understand another side from your own and more trusting of Catholics in general.
In regards to your opening post, if you want to learn about those teachings of the Church, there are innumerable resources, you could just go about it in a less rude manner and be open to God’s grace, instead of rejecting it. Just my opinion.

I have in fact studied a great deal. I spent 11 years in college and I have three degrees. I have over 600 college credit hours. Lots of psychology, philosophy, sociology, history, literature, lots of sciences and math. And I have studied religion, especially Catholicism.
I conclude from the people here that I am not able to be Catholic because of your combative attitude. I admit that this is the only Catholic web site I have visited, so maybe there are other sites that are more friendly.
But for me now, Catholicism is a poor, even an impossible choice if I will be associating with people like
