hi every one this most likely has been discussed or many have faced this situation.what does one get for a wedding gift for an “established” couple. by established i mean they have been together as husband and wife and have their lives set up already.?

Some decorative item for their house (or apartment) that they will both use?

Ask where they are registered and get something off the registry.

If they are not registered, depending on your budget, get them a bottle or half case or full case of wine.

Oh, that’s a great idea. Would love to get a case of wine for a present. The only time that’s ever happened is when we invited an Italian Air Force pilot over for supper. Most people show up with a bottle, he brought 6, all different and proceeded to give me a lesson on what each went best with. We thought about him each time we opened one. Thanks, Fox.

Or a 2nd option would be to get them each a bottle of wine made the years they were born.

My niece just got married. They were not an established couple, but a young couple just getting started. I attended her bridal shower where she received a ridiculous amount of gifts before the wedding had even happened!

I decided to get them a gift card for gasoline, and another for groceries. Both of these are things they are definitely going to need and the price of gas right now, this will be a big help to their budget.

hi all thanks for the replies.i don’t think they even registerd anywhere.i know these pepole well enough so the wine is out, sorry. the last one by Lamb Serenade to me seems the best one and it suits me cause it sems to be a very pratical gift idea.thanks again to all

I’m not sure I understand the question. 1)Do ya mean they’ve been married to other people? 2) Been living together? Or 3) just been married a few years, but y’all never got around to getting them a wedding present till now.

Does this mean I can go back, check the registry and see if all our friends are accounted for? And if they failed to send a present call them out and tell them it’s not too late?

BamaRider, you missed the charitable explanation: they are chaste adults who’ve lived on their own, each in their in separate dwellings, for a number of years and thus have duplicates of anything they could possibly need.

Bama Rider the couple have been together for a while now, basically they already have the normal things a couple needs in thier home.
