My wife & I need to know what to give a priest that’s going to bless are house?

A relic is nice gift, you can also go to your local Catholic giftshop and buy a nice statue or picture.

Last year, the priest at our church had these “ideas” when asked what can you give a priest for Christmas.

• a donation to your favorite charity in his name
• light a candle for him
• have a mass said for his deseased parent
• a donation to The Lighthouse for the Blind ( one priest has a blind dad)
• Starbucks gift certificate
• Barnes & Noble gift certificate

Unless the priest is a personal friend, I’d advise a gift card to an eatery or bookstore.

Homecooked dinner after the blessing is wonderful, make sure he has scheduled the time for it - and call the Church office to see if he has any food allergies, sensitivities or other dietary restrictions.

Dinner. Or lunch if the blessing is in the afternoon. A thank you card.

Possibly a check for $20 or so.
