Does anyone know what scripture translation is used in Melkite D.L. or if there is the same one used in most Byz. catholic liturgy? I am looking for a new testament book or at least the same bible used. :bible1:
At the local Melkite church, the English Epistle and Gospel book are RSV published by the Greek Archdiocese.
20-30 years ago, Alleluia Press (Abp Raya and Jose de Vinck) published beautiful English Epistle and Gospel books that they had translated directly from the Greek liturgical texts (which sometimes differ slightly from the Biblical text), but I don’t know if they are still available.
The Ruthenians have published Epistle and Gospel books based on the NAB.
