What type of prayers do you pray at different times during moments of silence in mass ie., before mass begins, prayers of the faithful, after communion, etc?

That’s just what I was thinking! I often arrive 15 to 30 minutes early to pray, but it is difficult. There are usually people talking. I gave up on staying after; just too noisy. And during Mass? No moments of silence. What moments of silence?

I get to church about forty minutes before Mass starts. During that time I pray my Rosary and a few other prayers. What type of prayers do you pray at different times during moments of silence in mass ie., before mass begins, prayers of the faithful, after communion, etc?
Just as during Eucharistic Adoration we are silent, there are purposefully built in moments of silence: after the first reading and before the Lector proclaims “The Word of the Lord!”, at the end of the Psalms and before the Cantor begins the Alleluia, etc. These brief moments are not meant for us to pray to God so much as for us to reflect on His Word that was just read or sung. A good way to look at silence is the emptying of ourselves so that the Holy Spirit can fill us. If we fill our minds with prayer, we impede God filling us with His Presence so we can better understand the readings and Gospel passage. Each Mass has a unique message for each participant (notice I didn’t say “attendee” - Catholics are called to PARTICIPATE fully in the Mass!) so each participant should quiet their minds and hearts so they can discern what it is God is trying to tell them. What type of prayers do you pray at different times during moments of silence in mass ie., before mass begins, prayers of the faithful, after communion, etc?
I pray the Act of Contrition after the “Behold the Lamb of God…”, just before I go up for Communion. In the time after Communion I pray the Anima Christe.During the penitential rite….“Let us now acknowledge our sins and so prepare ourselves to celebrate these sacred mysteries.” I pray the Act of Contrition my dad did the same and I am not certain if it is correct to do so but, he was and still is the best example of the Catholic man.
