What scripture verse is it that talks about having patience with your parents when they are old? Thanks.🙂

I can’t say I’m familiar with a particular verse that talks about having patience with your folks as they age, but the following from the Ten Commandments certainly applies.

Ex. 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

Hello.Read Sirach 3:12-16.My son, take care of your father when he is old;grieve him not as long as he lives.(13)Even if his mind fail,be considerate with him;revile him not in the fullness of your youth.(14)For kindness to a father will not be forgotten,it will serve as a sin offering-it will take lasting root.(15)In time of tribulation it will be recalled to your advantage, like warmth upon frost it will melt away your sins.

It’s in Sirach, not sure of the ch and ver but it is read in the first reading for the Mass of the Feast of the Holy Family.

Thank you so much!

How about this one (KJV quoted for copyright reasons):

Ephesians 6:4
And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
