Like CaptFun and Tommy999, I REALLY liked “The Green Book”. Everyone that was in the theatre must have really liked it too, they all clapped at the end. It’s been a l-o-n-g time since I’ve heard appreciative clapping after a movie. 👏👏👏👏

For those following the implausible success of They Shall Not Grow Old, box office news from this weekend:

“Finally, in completely implausible milestones, the Peter Jackson-directed They Shall Not Grow Old will have $16.4m by tomorrow, meaning that has outgrossed (as of yesterday) the $15.9m domestic cume of the Peter Jackson-produced Mortal Engines, an underrated/underseen $100m-budgeted YA fantasy flick that cost Universal and friends $100m and yet made just $86m worldwide. Once again, the meaning of “event film” is rapidly changing, and Warner Bros. (along with Fathom Events) won out by turning this colorized World War I documentary into a demographically-specific event movie.”

Really liked The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. If you want to understand my sense of humor, watch any Coen Brothers movie (except No Country for Old Men. That one is just downright grim).

The book is better. The ending is wonderfully complex. You can ask yourself, what would I have done?
