What was the name of the Banned Movies List?

Can you tell me the name of the banned movies list that existed in the 1960s? In my church, in a little town in upstate New York, the list was posted in the lobby of the church, and we were supposed to check it before we went to see a movie.

I think you’re referring to the National Legion of Decency. Its modern successor, which doesn’t “ban” movies but does provide reviews of content for Catholic families, is the USCCB Office for Film and Broadcasting.
