Personally for the majority of my life I have recieved the Eucharist in the hand but we should bring back Eucharist rails…it would certainly put an end to Eucharist abuses and it makes more sense to kneel and receive on the tongue since the Eucharist is indeed the Body and Blood of Christ and is very Devine! I don’t want to further elaborate on this because it would be VERY hyprocritical 😊 .

I would like to take back what I said here. As what was said it doesn’t matter how you receive it (Kneeling or Standing) , it is what’s in the heart that matters! 👍
 
Well if we have in our heart a true and sinsere(Sp?) respect and feeling of adoraion why shouldn’t we show it by kneeling before our Lord…not kneeling is what has brought us to irreverance towards the Blessed Sacrament

Personally I believe that Commuion Rails Should be brought back. However untill this happens, we will just have to receive the Eucharist with as much reverence as we can without the Communion rail. 🤷

yea…i guess…but what if we all began to kneel then they would have to bring it back…😃
but i can’t talk i don’t kneel:shrug:

Now I have heard of these things, but have decided unless some eye witness can specify place, approximate date, and celebrant that we are talking “urban myth.”

Also I have been present at confirmations for over 40 years and have yet to see confirmation without laying on of hands.
 
Dear Brother Eric, I don’t know how long you have been Catholic or where your parish is located or even what the conditions are like in your parish but please hear me out. I converted twice to the true faith of Christ. It has been a long journey for me but it was darn well worth it. My first conversion was within a traditional sect that held every conspiracy theory against the Church as dogmatic truth. Believe me when I tell you that if you allow these things any credibility they will not only destroy your peace of mind but they can also wreck your faith. I spent 14 yrs. with people of this caliber and they lack in the most important aspects of the true faith because they refuse to follow the Holy Father. If you are genuinely concerned about some things taking place in your own parish perhaps you may seek out the Extraordinary Form of the Mass if it is offered in your area. If not, I believe you will find that with patience, it will arrive in due time. Whatever you do, It is my recommendation that you be careful with your relationships with some of the more traditional thinking Catholics. Some of them are truly wackos.
Just a word from a concerned brother Catholic. Remember that the greatest virtue is love. The Church herself is slow to condemn but quick to forgive. Protect your faith. Be careful what you believe. Turn neither to the right nor to the left. The road is both straight and narrow. Pray and trust God to uphold His Church. God bless you brother.

Right - three things you don’t want to be - conservative, liberal, or heterodox.

One thing you want to be - orthodox.
 
I guess I am coming in as a deacon-come-lately to this thread. I just found it today. I have read all that was posted before me. The one thing that is most obvious to me is that those who want to believe these lies, want to and do not want to have their minds changed. Those who do not accept the garbage spewed on these videos are the ones on the right track. I have only been on this forum since last October, but I have found that those who question the Church, the Pope, the teachings, the Mass, the Sacraments have one thing lacking within themselves. That is a true ascent to faith. Just my observation and opinion. I will not debate this, just made an observation from my perspective.

When there are many confirmands then the bishop may extend his hands over all of them. This, however, is not the matter: it is the thumb used to impose the chrism that ‘counts’ as the imposition of the hand and this is maintained in pre-Vatican II moral theology books.

Moreover, the video is highly selective and misleading and quotes opinions as if they were well-documented facts. In the Confirmation segment for example, he selectively quotes Paul VI as if to say that the Pope did not believe that the chrism or imposition of the hand were required or essential to the sacrament. On the contrary, the Pope specifically declared both the matter and form in Divinae Consortium Naturae. Moreover the canons of Trent said nothing about the form for Confirmation and the narrator’s analysis, that the revised wording represents “a simple blessing” is highly subjective and not based on sacramental theology in any way.
