We have several at our parish. The school children do one during the week at or after one of their weekday masses.

Then we have a crowning at the beginning of each weekend mass the first Sunday of May. The children who make their First Communion the last Sunday in April bring the flowers and the crown and process in with Father at the opening of mass. It’s lovely 😃
 
We always do it after Mass on Ascension Thursday!

Ours is the first Sunday in May. The students who made their First Communion the previous week present a crown and flowers to our Blessed Mother and lead us in Marian prayer(s). It’s very nice.
 
Any day you wish.
Many do it on Mother’s Day or the First Sunday in May.
Some have a young girl Mary’s age when the Angel Gabriel appeared to her crown her, others choose a young child form the First Communion class.
There’s as many variations as there are parishes. and Catholic schools.
 
IIRC, my parish does the May Crowning on Mother’s Day. We don’t have a school attached to our parish, and weekday Masses are at either 7 am or 5 pm, depending on the day. So, for us, Mother’s Day makes sense, as Mary is our mother, too.
 
I believe our parish does it the first Sunday in May, but I need to doublecheck on that.
 
At the church here the May Crowning was usually held on a Wednesday evening.
However one year the May Crowning occurred on a Sunday afternoon.
 
When the May Crowning was on a Wednesday evening, it would occur at seven o’clock.
